Thank you to Congressman Denny Heck for his visit Jan. 21 to learn more about MDC and the Educational Opportunity Center at Clover Park Technical College. Congressman Heck spent time talking to an MDC client about his experience enrolling in college to retrain for a new career, and asked a number of questions of advisor Christina Jones and Education and Employment Director Ginger Peck about how the EOC is funded and what services are provided for students at Clover Park.
Congressman Heck also met with MDC CEO Mark Pereboom for a discussion about the organization and the impact that MDC programs have for his constituents in the 10th Congressional District, which includes Lakewood, University Place, Puyallup and Sumner in Pierce County.
