MDC’s Medical Clinic was the health care home for 1,655 individuals in 2014. Those individuals accounted for 3,461 total visits that were made by 236 people who had no health insurance and 1,012 people who were on Medicaid.
The MDC Medical Clinic provides essential care for low-income and medically underserved communities here in Tacoma. Most of our patients, more than 94 percent, live at or below the federal poverty level and approximately 41 percent of those patients come from minority communities. MDC is also a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
