Metropolitan Development Council’s withdrawal management program will resume taking new patients in the 2nd Quarter of 2022. MDC suspended new admissions to its inpatient, medication-assisted withdrawal management program in late January to address internal operations, streamline the admission process, and evaluate additional services that could be offered.
MDC recognizes that this service is critical to our community, and continues to work with Managed Care Organization partners and community partners to ensure that the redesigned withdrawal management program will be sustainable.
Until new admissions to the withdrawal management program resume, staff continues to offer help with referrals to other treatment resources through the intake phone number at (253) 593-2413 as well as to walk-in clients at 721 Fawcett Avenue in Tacoma.
