Staying sober after treatment can be very difficult. Imagine having to maintain good physical and mental health and housing, while attempting to live with a sense of normalcy. Relapse is much more likely without proper care and access to resources. A deeper look into the “Detox-rehab churn” illustrates that addiction is a chronic disease that requires long-term care.
